Absolutely! We want every progressive to use SwipeBlue.
We also love positive ratings and reviews in your app store.
Who is behind SwipeBlue?
SwipeBlue is a product of Democrats.com, which was launched in 2000 as the original online news and community site for progressive activists. We now have over 10 million supporters.
We stand for jobs, justice, healthcare, education, the environment, and peace. We are supported by great progressive partners so we never ask for donations.
We are privately owned and not controlled by the Democratic Party or any politicians or donors or special interests.
What if I see data that’s incorrect? Can you fix it for me?
SwipeBlue uses publicly available records from state boards of election to show you who in your contacts is registered to vote.
You may see incorrect data because data matching is never perfect. Here are some of the more common problems:
Your contact has a common name which matches to more than one voter
Your contact has a cellphone number that recently changed to a different owner
You use a nickname like “Jim” but their legal name is “James”
Your contact moved to another state but did not re-register to vote
You can fix these common matching problems using our matching guide.
SwipeBlue does not have any affiliation with state boards of elections, or any ability to change or update their official data.
Incorrect voter file data can be fixed by having the voter contact their state or county election office.
How can I match more of my contacts?
Why doesn't SwipeBlue show all of my contacts?
SwipeBlue excludes contacts that are marked as businesses and those that have no first and last name.
Can SwipeBlue help me vote online?
No. Some states allow online voting under very limited circumstances (like military deployed overseas) but there are official government websites for those voters.
